Please be informed that Fr. Jovito M. Malinao, OFM, CKC President, issued a Memorandum No. 3 (SY 2019-2020) dated August 3, 2019 informing all CKC employees (teaching and non-teaching), and students of the Special and Regular Non-working Holidays for the Month of August to wit:

HOLIDAY
It's a special (non-working) day on August 5 (Monday) in the whole Island of Samar in honor of JOSE D. AVELINO, Philippine Senate President of 1946-49. JD Avelino is a Calbayognon and Samarnon.

According to the DOH, 622 people have died due to dengue as of July 20 this year. These deaths came from the 146,062 dengue cases from January to July – a number 98% higher than the recorded incidence during the same period last year.
